The moms' group that I am involved with is led by WKYC Channel 3...momslikeme.com. We meet weekly and do activities such as go to the playground, go on a hike, go apple picking, etc. Well, this week we got to go on a tour of the Channel 3 Studio! So cool! Not only did we see the studio and all the lights and cameras, but I got to meet Maureen Kyle (she is a morning anchor). I tried to get Keegan to sit behind the news desk but he would have nothing to do with it. Doesn't he understand that he has a scrapbooking mom and the news desk shot is critical to the page ?!?!?Here are the pics I was able to get...

Field Trip to Pittsburgh!
Since Kevin has vacation days still to use for the 2010 year, he decided to take Friday off. Instead of hanging out around the house, we packed up the car and went to Pittsburgh. Our destination...Pittsburgh Children's Museum. Keegan and I had gone once this summer, but Kevin has yet to go. So, I decided to be the photographer and watch the boys explore!
While at the museum, I met a mother who lives in the Pittsburgh area. I asked here if there were any other kid friendly activities nearby and she said to go the National Aviary. So, we left the museum, walked about 5 minutes and...we were at the National Aviary. It was 1:30 when we got there, so we were on borrowed time, but we decided to plow straight ahead. First of all, what a wonderful place. We got to get up and close to some penguins.
We saw a beautiful bald eagle....

We finished off our time at the aviary by seeing a bird feeding. They had a structured class led by the trainers who let the kids feed the birds by holding worms and fish in the air. They also spoke on feeding habits of birds and then some birds showed off by doing some tricks. I have no pictures of the class because I was holding a very sleepy little boy. We all agree that we must go back to the aviary when we have more time!!

Halloween Night
Keegan dressed up as an Irish soccer player this year for Halloween. We found an authentic jersey at the Irish Festival earlier this summer. He was sleeping last year during trick or treating, so this year was his first year to participate. Unfortunately, Kevin was in Germany on Halloween, so he did not get to be there for the fun. But, my dear friend, Shelley was there to help us out!
Keegan got the hang of picking out the candy and dropping it into his soccer ball. However, as soon as Keegan was back in his wagon, he was digging in his bag to find his next treat to eat!!
We went to about 5 houses and then headed back to our house to hand out the candy to the neighborhood kids. Keegan sat on Shelley's lap and every time a kid would come to the door he would bounce right up and hand them candy. I do believe his favorite part of the whole night was handing out the candy and seeing all of the kids!Tuesday, October 19, 2010

I recently changed my work schedule, so I now work on Saturdays. This enables Keegan and Kevin to spend the entire day together. As I was going through my camera, I found out what the boys have been up to on these past few Saturdays. I hope you get a chuckle out of these pictures as much as I did!

Ramseyer Farms
We traveled to Smithville, Ohio to visit Ramseyer Farms. The farm contained acres and acres of fun. They had 2 corn mazes. One corn maze was in the shape of Ohio and was actually constructed in the shape of all the interstates in Ohio. You started out on I-71 and could walk through I-77 and Route 8...too cute! They also had a a petting zoo with goats (called the Merry-Ott Goat-tel!!), pigs, chickens, and rabbits. You could ride a hay ride and they also had a smaller version for kiddos. We had such a good time that we are making Ramseyer Farms an annual tradition for our family. If you ever get a chance to go, I highly recommend it!! I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story!

Keegan and Lexi!!

Some of you may remember that last year we had a special shirt made for Keegan's babysitter, Lexi. Well, the shirt did not fit this year so we had a new hoodie made for him. We surprised Lexi at her final home soccer game. It was senior night, so we were able to cheer Lexi on one last time on her home turf. She is planning on playing for Longwood University next year in Virginia. You can count on it that we will find a way to go see her play next year.
Although we are sad to see Lexi go off to school next year we are so excited for her new adventure. She has been a blessing to our family and Keegan loves her sooo much! Lexi is such a kind, gentle, caring, respectful, and fun young woman. She is one of a kind!!Wednesday, September 15, 2010
Still having fun...
Keegan is now 19 months old and is still a happy kid! I picked these pictures to show you how much he enjoys being outside. His great grandparents bought him a tricycle and he loves to be pushed around on it. Our backs cannot wait for him to reach the pedals so we can stop pushing him!! On the tricycle there is a button Keegan pushes that causes music to play. Once the music starts playing, Keegan starts dancing...

His other favorite toy is the train table. Here is a picture of Kevin and Keegan nailing down the track...

And finally, Keegan's favorite activity to do with dad....being pushed around at a high rate of speed in a box. It must be a guy thing!
Keegan has also been communicating very well. One of his favorite sign language words is MORE! He will bring his fingers together and then say the word "More!" This word and sign is most often seen when eating ice cream or chocolate milk!!
