After hours and hours of work the nursery is finally completed. Kevin worked so hard to ensure that our baby has both a relaxing and stimulating room. We added stars and vinyl lettering to the walls to make the room "pop"! We also put up a new cellular shade and drapes. I find myself almost once a day going into the nursery and just taking it all in. I can not believe that in a few months we will be seeing a beautiful baby sleeping in that crib. Kevin and I had the pleasure of spending an evening with my cousin, her husband and their newborn baby, Henry. They drove in from Washington D.C. on Wednesday night (Thanksgiving Eve). My parents also came over that night to see the lastest addition to the family. We had a wonderful time holding Henry and spending time with Sarah and Brian. I held Henry really close to my belly hoping his "calm baby attitude" would rub off on the soon to be Baby Daugherty. The neat part about Sarah and I is, is that we are 7 months apart and our children will also be 7 months apart! I hope that even with the miles that separate our families, our children will be close friends. 
We recently found this bear at a local Home Goods store! Kevin and I instantly fell in love with it! We plan on putting the bear in the nursery.
It was so funny to watch Kevin walking around the store with the bear. Little kids kept pointing at the bear and adults were smiling and laughing. When the lady checking us out found out we were putting the bear in the nursery she thought it was such a good idea.
Not only do we love the bear, but Mia, the cat, seems to think it is pretty cool also. She is always sniffing the bear and poking at it!!
