Keegan and Lexi!!

Some of you may remember that last year we had a special shirt made for Keegan's babysitter, Lexi. Well, the shirt did not fit this year so we had a new hoodie made for him. We surprised Lexi at her final home soccer game. It was senior night, so we were able to cheer Lexi on one last time on her home turf. She is planning on playing for Longwood University next year in Virginia. You can count on it that we will find a way to go see her play next year.

Although we are sad to see Lexi go off to school next year we are so excited for her new adventure. She has been a blessing to our family and Keegan loves her sooo much! Lexi is such a kind, gentle, caring, respectful, and fun young woman. She is one of a kind!!

Still having fun...

Keegan is now 19 months old and is still a happy kid! I picked these pictures to show you how much he enjoys being outside. His great grandparents bought him a tricycle and he loves to be pushed around on it. Our backs cannot wait for him to reach the pedals so we can stop pushing him!! On the tricycle there is a button Keegan pushes that causes music to play. Once the music starts playing, Keegan starts dancing...

Keegan has also been communicating very well. One of his favorite sign language words is MORE! He will bring his fingers together and then say the word "More!" This word and sign is most often seen when eating ice cream or chocolate milk!!

His other favorite toy is the train table. Here is a picture of Kevin and Keegan nailing down the track...

And finally, Keegan's favorite activity to do with dad....being pushed around at a high rate of speed in a box. It must be a guy thing!

Riding the Train!

Another recent adventure Keegan and I went on was riding a train in Lodi. The train drives around the outlet mall and lasts for about 10 minutes. As you can see, Keegan was super excited about getting on the train!

Once we got on the train he thought it was the coolest thing ever! We both had a great time. Unfortunately, he did not find shopping to be as much fun. I need to start training this kid on how to shop!!!

This next picture has nothing to do with the recent train ride, but it is so stinking cute! Anytime, Kevin or I go into the basement we shut the door just so we can see this cute face....

Just in case you are not sure what this is...it is the cat door for Mia. Keegan seems to think it is a peekaboo door for Mommy and Daddy!

Preston's Hope

Keegan and I went to a really cool playground located in Beachwood. It is called Preston's Hope. It took 3 years to build and was all built by donations from families and companies. It is a HUGE facility with a sandbox, swings, slides, and an Imagination Village. Keegan had a wonderful time running around the playground and exploring!

The Life of a 17 month old...

I take my mornings nice and slow. I hang out on the couch with my favorite blanket...I named it "Bubby." I really like to watch Sid the Science Kid on PBS...he is super cool.

After a few minutes relaxing on the couch...it is full speed ahead...I play! I love to throw balls.

Just the other day, my dad taught me how to make cars go down the spiral train track. I can do it all by myself now. Isn't that cool!

Summer Eats!

Keegan is not the greatest eater. He has his main foods he eats everyday and I try to have him try some new foods during the week. Well, I hit the jackpot the other night because he devoured an ear of corn and an entire nectarine. So cute to watch! Oh, he now enjoys his Cheerios straight out the box versus in a conventional bowl with milk...go figure!!!

Cool Centerpiece

My aunt came up with the greatest idea for a Fourth of July centerpiece. It was originally supposed to be colored M & Ms, but after finding out the cost of colored M & Ms, my aunt had yet another brilliant idea to use gumballs. So, Kevin and I raided 2 grocery stores of all the red, white, and blue gumballs, and presto...here it is...

Sorry, no Keegan pics in this post. Check back later for some updated Keegan pictures!
