Happy Mother's Day

Kevin's parents took us out for a wonderful brunch on Mother's Day. Keegan got all dressed up in his golf shirt and pants for his first trip to the country club! He enjoyed watching all the action while we ate a wonderful meal. I felt so proud to be Keegan's mom! I am truly a blessed woman.

Keegan Meets Auntie Shelley!

A couple of weekends ago, my best friend, Shelley, came to meet Keegan. Shelley and I met at Bradley University and have been friends ever since. She is a pediatric physical therapist and is so gifted with children. Keegan just lit up when Shelley would play with him. She was so patient and loving to Keegan. It made my heart melt to see how wonderful Shelley interacted with Keegan. I just know that Keegan could see how special Shelley is to our family. We love you Auntie Shelley!!!
Once Keegan was either napping or in bed for the night, we all played cards or a game called Farkel. The games got intense at times....as seen by the picture on the right!!! We all had a great time and hope to see Shelley sometime very soon...maybe all three of us will make a road trip to see her in June. Watch out Chicago...here we come!

3 months old!

Time sure does fly when you are having fun! The last month has sure been filled with smiles and giggles from the K-man! He continues to smile everyday and is getting so strong with holding his head up. Keegan has also accomplished another task of sleeping in his crib through the night versus his swing. Kevin made it official the other day by putting his swing in the basement! The swing served us very well for those first few months, but now Keegan is content to finally sleep in his crib!
Last week was my first week back to work. The transition back to work was filled with tears, but phone calls from my mom throughout the day re-assured me that Keegan was in good hands. It is a blessing to have my mom watch Keegan while I am at work. I will be forever grateful.

Keegan is now 10 weeks old and loving life! Can't you tell! He went to the doctor yesterday and recieved 3 immunizations and was a very brave boy. He now weighs 14# and continues to get wonderful reviews from the doctor about his developmental progress. We are so proud of him!

Keegan also got to meet his cousins, Madison and Caulin, and his Aunt Suzanne and Uncle Larry. Even though Madison wished for a baby girl cousin, she definetely enjoyed her time with Keegan! Keegan had so much fun that day getting to know the family, that he slept for 12 straight hours that night!

Keegan is also enjoying his books. He especially loves books with pictures of animals. Nana is reading him one of his favorite books, " B is for Bear."

Go Tribe!

Today was the first matchup of the Indians and Yankees. It was an even bigger game because the Yankees had their opening day at their new field. Keegan knew it was a big day for the Inidans so he woke up this morning and let me know that he needed to wear his Tribe outfit to help the Indians win against the dreaded Yankees! Well, as you can see from Keegan's face, the Tribe beat the Yankees 10-2! It feels good to be a Tribe fan!

Easter Blessings...

Wow! We had a great Easter at Nana and Grandpa's house. Keegan wore his new pair of jeans to show Grandpa what a cool dude he is. Grandpa loved the jeans and loved to watch how Keegan is more animated both physically and verbally! Keegan was very talkative and gave a ton of smiles during Easter day. It was awesome watching how happy everyone was due to Keegan's presence. He truly is our Easter blessing!

7 weeks...

Keegan, Kevin and I are doing very well. Keegan is now sleeping an average of 6 hours a night and takes 1-2 hour naps during the day. He has enjoyed going on walks when the weather has been nice and still enjoys his stuffed toys. He continues to grow and I am anxious to hear what his weight is when we go to the doctor in a few weeks.

Recently, our neighbors held a "Sip and See". The party was to sip some tea and see the newest neighbor...Keegan! Too cute! We all had a good time and Keegan got to meet the neighbor ladies on the street!
Enjoy the pictures...
